What Is Happening In Ghana Now Similar To How Liberia's Civil War Evolved – Baba Jamal

Former Member of Parliament for the Akwatia Constituency in the Eastern Region, Baba Jamal says Ghana is no longer safe under President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s leadership.

According to him, the state of insecurity pervading the country is akin to how the civil war in Liberia started.

Citing some sporadic incidents of murder and the recent shooting incident at La-Bawaleshie during the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election on Thursday, 31 January 2019, as examples, the former NDC MP said, these are clear signs that the current administration headed by Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo is not on top of issues when it comes to security issues.

What is going on now in Ghana is bad . . . its not something one should be proud of,” he said in an interview on NEAT FM’s morning show ‘Ghana Montie’, Monday, February 4, 2019.

Is Ghana now a war zone? Or are we going to war? People are scared. It’s not only the NDC; Ghanaians are living in fear under this government. Most people cannot afford to leave the country when there is war. What is happening in Ghana is similar to how war started in Liberia,” Baba Jamal told host Kwesi Aboagye.
