Nana Addo "Undeserving" of Praise . . .NPP Destroyed Dagbon - Asiedu Nketia

Anyone who offered some kind of plaudits to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for the landmark peace initiative in Dagbon Peace, have been asked to take back their compliment.

General Secretary for the opposition NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketia believes President Akufo-Addo is undeserving of any form of commendation since he failed to find a single person responsible for the conflict which rocked Dagbon when the criminal case was first brought to his attention as Attorney-General during the erstwhile Kuffour Administration.

When we are talking about Dagbon peace, don’t mention Nana Akufo-Addo’s name. How did peace get violated before it was restored? Is it not the same NPP that destroyed Dagbon? When Dagbon was destroyed, was Akufo-Addo not the Attorney-General handling all the criminal cases involved? Who was punished in the Dagbon impasse?”, he quizzed.

if you have destroyed Dagbon for about 17 years and now the people have accepted and understood the need to work towards peace, you want us to praise you for the peace achieved in Dagbon. Where did he bring the peace from? How did the Dagbon conflict arise in the first place?” he enquired.

To him, empirical records show Mr Akufo-Addo is violent by nature and nothing can change that; not even the fake attitude of humility he exhibited which hoodwinked Ghanaians into voting for him in the 2016 General Elections.

Commenting on the pockets of violence recorded during the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election in an interview on Okay FM's 'Ade Akye Abia' Morning Show, the NDC General Secratry asserted that no-one can convince him that President Akufo-Addo was not behind the chaotic scenes. Not even after he (the President) issued a statement calling for peace.

If anybody says Nana Akufo-Addo is not behind the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election violence, then that person is a liar in this country . . . who says Nana Akufo-Addo has any credibility to issue a statement on peace for Ghanaians to believe?”
