Celebrity Golf Club would launch the 2010 Coca Cola Monthly Medal sponsorship agreement at Sakumono, near Tema on Saturday, January 30. The agreement would offer the blue chip company the opportunity to sponsor all monthly medal competitions that would be played at Sakumono for the year. Mr Pierre Coussey, Captain of the Celebrity Golf Club who disclosed this at Tema to GNA Sports on Thursday, said the Club after making strategic progress in its development, was now ready to enter into a long-term mutually beneficial corporate relationship with such a well-established corporate body. "It is for this reason that the Club is engaging Coca Cola in what is expected to be a long term relation", he said. Mr Coussey said Monthly Medal competitions are often planned to make golfers prepare and be competitive for major competitions and also improve upon their handicaps. Golfers from Achimota, Tema and Bok Nam Kim Clubs would be taking part in the duration of the 12-month competitions.
