I Pity John Mahama - Sir John

Chief Executive Officer for the Forestry Commission, Lawyer Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie believes former President John Dramani Mahama’s insurgent quest to stage a comeback to take over the Presidency is much ado about nothing.

To him, the ploy behind his “boot for boot” comment is to incite his National Democratic Congress (NDC) delegates to give him the mandate to lead the party in the 2020 general elections.

Speaking on Okay FM’s 'Ade Akye Abia' Morning Show, Lawyer Owusu Afriyie porpulary known as Sir John, enquired to know the motive of former President John Mahama to stage a comeback after all the hardships he inflicted on Ghanaians.

“As for John Mahama, I pity him. John should listen, if he has left something in the Jubilee House and he wants me to get it for him, it is easy; he should not bother himself, I will go and get it for him because whatever he is doing will be in vain and nothing will come out of it,” he  asserted.

He maintained that Ghanaians are well aware of every pain they passed through in the hands of former President Mahama; thus, Ghanaians will not make the mistake the second time to bring him back to power after spending 8 years in office as Vice President and President.

“He thinks Ghanaians are so forgetful of the hardships he subjected them to and so no matter whatever he thinks is going on, Ghanaians will not make the mistake to bring Mahama back to power. We will never forget what they did to us; we will make sure Ghanaians will not forget what they did to them; the way we suffered in their hands,” he assured.

The choice of Mahama as the Presidential Candidate for the 2020 election, according to Sir John is a welcoming news as it will make the work of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) easy.
