Commisison of Inquiry: Can We Ever Have The Truth Spoken In This Country?– NDC MP Asks

Member of Parliament [MP] for Lower Manya Constituency in the Eastern Region, Ebenezer Okletey Tei-Larbi has asked if speaking truth on any incident can ever be associated with the Ghanaian society.

To him, the level of speaking truth and being honest is losing its value in the country, as if care is not taken the country will lose its dignity.

“It is becoming a norm that every truth must be turned up-side down all in the name of shielding a political party,” he said.

“Can we ever have the truth spoken in this country?” he asked.

Hon. Okletey Tei-Larbi in an interview on UTV’s ‘Adekye Nsroma’ programme was worried why the government has refused to act based on facts and the video footages shown following the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election incident, other than setting up a Commission of Inquiry.

“ . . It is very worrying that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo who claims to be a father for all leader together with his government officials have failed to act per the video footages from the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election,” he said.

He lamented that the incident is a big shame to the country and the government of the day, as such it shouldn’t be treated as one of those cases that has been left to go down the drain.
