NDC Executives Sought To Cover Up Shooting Incident - NDC A/R Secretary Reveals

National Democratic Congress (NDC) Ashanti Regional Secretary, Kwame Zu has revealed that the party conspired to cover up the shooting incident at the Regional Office on Monday, February 19, 2019.

The NDC Regional Secretary exposed the NDC in a telephone conversation available to Peacefmonline.com disclosing that an initial position by the executives to shift blame and pretend they didn't have any idea about the killer was all staged by the party in an attempt to hide the truth from the public.

Kwame Zu was heard in an alleged audio with a supposed relative of the deceased in the shooting incident at the party office claiming "it is the work of the party".

The alleged brother of the deceased who introduced himself as Abu to Kwame Zu in the phone conversation questioned why the NDC denied reports that a vigilante group belonging to the party called "Hawks" are not responsible for the death of his late brother.

Kwame Zu, in an uneasy voice, told Abu that the NDC "national said we should say it that way. I'm pleading with you my brother".

Background

Peace FM's Ashanti Regional Reporter, Sampson Nyamekye in an interview with host Kwami Sefa Kayi on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo" indicated a misunderstanding ensued between some members of Hawks and a taskforce belonging to the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

A member of Hawks then pulled out a gun and fired shots randomly at the members of the taskforce, resulting in the death of one person and another seriously injured.

The bloody incident happened during a high powered meeting of both national and Regional executives of NDC in Kumasi.

The Ashanti Regional Police has launched a manhunt for four suspects namely "Husein Barnabas, also known as Warrior; Mijima, Damos, and Abu Taliban" involved in the shooting.
