Ive Locked Up The OfficeIt's MineNPP Can Go To Hell-- NPP Chairman

An incident which many will term as political humour but has serious political implications, has struck the Obuasi constituency of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), following reports that the Chairman of the Council of Elders in Obuasi, Mr Boadi Mensah, has locked up the party's office. His action stems from the fact, he is no longer an NPP activist, as such, he is re-claiming every property belonging to him. Reached for his comments on the issue, Mr Boadi Mensah confirmed his resignation from the party in an interview on Peace FM news. He also confirmed as true, reports that he had locked up the partys offices in Obuasi. I put up this officebut because of the treatment being meted out to some of us, Ive cleaned out the offices of all NPP paraphernalia I put up this office in 1990. I made sure it was roofed and painted. I also provided all the chairs to make the office comfy, but enough is enough, Ive locked it up, he said. Mr Boadi Mensah, who happens to be a former MP for Obuasi, revealed that he embarked on this action because the NPP was sharply divided into two camps. The Secretary is on the side, whiles the Organiser is on the other side, he disclosed. According to him, as a founding member of the party in the area, should anyone describes his action as inappropriate, then it is up to the public to judge. I made sure the party was firmly rotted in the area with some othersIf some ungrateful people feel my action shows a lack of loyalty, its up to them. He however, strongly believed that his decision to resign from the NPP will not lead to the collapse of the party in the area. Asked which political party he intends aligning himself with, a visibly angry Mr. Mensah hanged up the phone but not before he sharply retorted, Dont ask me that question, thank you!
