A former Deputy Communications Minister, Felix Kwakye Ofosu has indicated that former President John Mahama’s 95% endorsement by delegates of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) shows Ghanaians are fervently yearning for him.

To him, Mr. Mahama has the experience to serve Ghana better and will forever be a nightmare for President Akufo-Addo.

“Mahama has always proven to be a man we can rely always on and since delegates have chosen him once again, the NPP should position themselves well because Mahama will be a nightmare candidate for Akufo- Addo” he stated. 

Mahama was elected the NDC’s flagbearer after beating six other candidates in Saturday’s primaries.

The ex-president polled a whopping 213,487 votes, representing 95.23% of the total votes cast.

Based on this backdrop, Mr. Kwakye Ofosu on Adom TV’s Morning show “Badwam”Tuesday said, Ghanaians are fed up with the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) because the government has so far failed to deliver on its campaign promises.

To avoid any embarrassment he called on President Akufo-Addo to immediately start writing his handing over notes because John Mahama would lead the NDC back to power in 2020.
