With former President John Dramani Mahama having been picked again as the Presidential Candidate for the largest opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2020 general elections, the leader and founder of Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), Kofi Akpaloo says the party is gone forever.

He emphatically stated that the opposition NDC can never come back to power and that if it has to take his own blood to ensure the opposition NDC remains in opposition forever, he will gladly do it.

Speaking on Okay FM’s Ade Akye Abia Morning Show, Kofi Akpaloo insisted the NDC is playing the minds of Ghanaians with the 95 percent vote former President Mahama polled in the Presidential Primary to mean that Ghanaians are yearning for the NDC comeback.

“Will you vote for NDC? Why will you vote for NDC? To come do what, steal our money again or what? NDC, they are gone forever; they can’t come back to power. They are lying. If I have to sacrifice my blood, I will do it to ensure that NDC does not come to power again; they won’t come to power today and tomorrow as well”, he pronounced.

He maintained that “NDC, with Mahama as their leader will never come to power again. I swear heaven and earth, NDC with Mahama as their leader will never come to power again; they should forget it”.

The leader and founder of LPG made this comment to remind the NDC Communicators that they cannot cow him with the contract his company has received from ECG to supply electrical materials into keeping quiet about how bad Mahama led the country.

He however hinted that the NDC members particularly Lawyer Edudzi must not think of Volta Region as in bed with CPP and the NDC as his grandfather Akpaloo was the first General Secretary of Anlo Youth Association who moved the association to join the UP Tradition from Trans Togoland Congress.

“Let me tell you something that my grandfather Akpaloo was UP General Secretary. I want all my Ewes siblings to understand that we people from Volta Region belong to the UP Tradition because when Trans Togoland Congress joined UP, Kwame Nkrumah was there before they joined the UP Tradition. My grandfather moved Anlo Youth Association to join the UP Tradition”, he revealed.

He added that the people of Volta Region became integral part of the NDC due former President Jerry John Rawlings as it founder; reiterating that if not for the fact that they [Voltarians] have been brought up to do whatever their fathers tell them, they will never have voted for CPP and NDC.

He therefore stated that the people of Volta Region are wild awake to know the truth and so nobody can peddle falsehood and deceit to convince to them again.
