Ofosu-Ampofo’s Words Were Inappropriate - Obiri Boahene On Leaked Tape

A Deputy General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Obiri Boahen, has criticized comments made by the National Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in a leaked audio.

Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo is trending after allegedly making damning remarks while speaking in a meeting with party members.

He is reported to have said: “we’re going to take her [EC boss] to the cleaners.”

“For the first time, I will endorse insulting the National Peace Council Chair,” he said to cheers from the NDC members.

“The party will come out with a number of policy initiatives. Security and Intelligence Unit in the party will be formed and we will appoint National Coordinator, Regional, District and Constituency officers to lead these Units as we zoom along into 2020 . . . Reacting to this in an interview on Starr FM, Obiri Boahene said what the NDC scribe said “bothers on criminality". 

According to him, "this one is wrong. Ofosu-Ampofo’s words were inappropriate”.
