Ofosu-Ampofo's Leaked Tape Has Been Doctored - NDC Dep. National Organizer

A leaked audio purported to be the voice of the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo has become a matter of concern to many Ghanaians.

The leaked tape recording is creating 'fear and panic' in the entire nation as the NDC National Chairman is heard inciting what is believed to be members of his party against the Electoral Commissioner and the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).

He told the party members after a meeting held at the NDC headquarters after the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election that they "must wage a relentless war on this EC Chair".

He further charged them to target some members of the governing NPP by making their lives uncomfortable.

“We will go after them, but we will not go after them face-to-face. We have to use tactical operation to make life very uncomfortable for them. We will target some people and we will let the people know that their lives are in danger", he stressed adding that "once their lives are in danger they themselves will be careful. As for that one I want to assure that we will go all out to ensure . . .as President Mahama said when it comes to this game we are better than them," Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo allegedly said on the tape.

Making his submissions on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo' programme Wednesday morning, the Deputy National Organizer of the NDC, Chief Biney says the leaked tape has been doctored.

He denied the contents of the leaked audio and further debunked claims the voice and utterances on the tape are that of the NDC National Chairman.

He told host Kwami Sefa Kayi that the leaked audio is an orchestration by the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) to achieve their ill-motives against the NDC.

“The NPP has devised ways to bug us. So, they have cut the voices and pieced them together to favor what they want to achieve. It’s true that there is a tape hovering in the air but the utterances are pure fabrication to achieve a goal…They have doctored it because they want to achieve something”, he stated.
