The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Bosiako has described ace investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, as an  enemy and a pharisee  of this country.

NPP Chairman made this pronouncement when he reacted to the journalist’s investigative piece on ‘Galamsey’ Exposé revealing government officials circumventing measures to curb illegal mining.

According to him Anas is a 'fraud, a thief and a nation wrecker' who will stop at nothing but seek to destroy hardworking and innocent Ghanaians.

Speaking on Okay FM’s Ade Akye Abia Programm, Wontumi urged the Editor in Chief of the New Crusading Guide Newspaper, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako to advise his boy (Anas) following his approach of fighting corruption.

“Anas is not credible - he has been doctoring all his interviews he has with victims to blackmail them… we are aware of his criminal activities…duping people and encouraging corruption for his own benefit.

"This is nonsense and must be stopped immediately. Anas is fake and I call on Kwaku baako to do something about him,” stated.

He however stressed that the Anas style of journalism is the orthodox way and therefore should be condemned.

“I think Anas is an enemy and a Pharisee to the state.” He therefore called on every Ghanaian to condemn Anas because the resultant effect of his works only creates unnecessary anxiety and panic without bringing about the real social and moral change we need.
