Blame The Courts For Party's Misfortunes NPP Chairman

The newly-elected Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Frederick F. Anto, is blaming the country's courts for the numerous confusion that plagued the party in the run-up to the its Regional congresses. According to him, the courts was to be blamed for the internal party wrangling that befell the Ashanti Regional NPP, prior to the conference. Speaking to Peace FM on Kokrokoo, he said there was no confusion in the party as far as he was concerned. But the whole NPP family was at fault for allowing itself to fall prey to a court injunction. He said the court was always ready to grant an injunction without weighing each side, to determine the one at fault, adding that the court system needed to be reviewed in order to look at issues more critically. There are issues which are no issue at all to be entertained by the court, but they just act on it, he said in apparent reference to the injunction the court placed on the Ashanti Regional NPP conference. The court, under normal circumstance, should not assist in wrong doing, he added. Mr. F.F. Anto also accused some Big Men in the party for instigating most of the party's bickering. According to him, some big men in the party, hide behind the scenes and urge the small boys to get involved in activities that never favoured or was in the interest of the party. The newly-elected NPP Chairman in the Ashanti Region vow to break the hold of factionalism in the party, most especially in the Ashanti Region. I will make sure that my Regional, Constituency and Polling station officers do not follow or stand behind Alan Kyeremanteng or Nana Akufo Addo. It has been cancelled, he stated. He said, there will be no way he would allow such high profile leaders in his region to follow the big guns when they are in the region to attend to programmes, to campaign or lead them under any function. This brings about the factionalism in the party, he added.
