Blame Alan/Nana Addo Factions On Ex-Prez Kufuor P.C. Appiah Ofori

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa in the Central Region, Hon. P.C. Appiah Ofori, has pointed fingers accusing at former President John Agyekum Kufuor, partly blaming him for the internal wrangling that has beset the party in recent times. According to him, former President Kufuor attempted to foist Alan on the party prior to the partys 2007 Congress, and even went as far ensuring, albeit indirectly, that Alan was elected the partys flagbearer. But, despite failing to achieve his desire, the Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa MP claims that Mr. Kufuor, is still continuing with his behind the scenes scheming to get Mr. Kyeremanteng to lead the party. Going into this years congress, Ex-President has his favourites again instead of remaining as the neutral father in the party, he alleged in an interview with AdomFm. The outspoken NPP MP called on National Executives of the party to be bold enough by disciplining any wayward party activist belonging to any of the two blocs, to seal the widening cracks developing in the NPP, as their action could play into the hands of the NDC. Followers of the two (Nana Akufo-Addo and Alan Kyerematen), are engaged in a campaign of attrition that will surely rip the party apart and cause NDC to virtually sweep the 2012 General Elections if steps are not taken to call them to order, he stated. The anti-corruption campaigner counseled the two frontrunners against splashing money on delegates to induce them for their votes. They should not waste moneyinstead they should rather channel those monies into the partys coffers to be used for campaigning against the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) in 2012, he advised.
