God Will Curse YouAlhaji Iddrisu Bature

A leading activist of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) and a social commentator, Alhaji Iddrisu Bature, has once again called the bluff of the former President and founder of the party, Mr Jerry John Rawlings, threatening to expose him if he does not stop his unjustifiable attacks on President Mills. The outspoken media practitioner says he would not hesitate to spill the beans and tell the whole world the bad side of the former president, if he does not cease his incessant attacks on the government of President Mills. Some of us know more than Rawlings himself knows about his deeds, and if he does not stop those unnecessary criticisms, we will blow the lid off him, and by the time we do that, the whole world will know the stuff Rawlings is made of, he charged. Speaking on the Kessben FM Breakfast Show yesterday, Alhaji Bature said even though the former president trumpets from the rooftops that he ruled the country in line with the policies of probity and integrity, and cannot be blamed for any form of corrupt practices, he (Alhaji) can prove that the former president was engrossed in various clandestine acts which were more grievous than corruption. Expressing his views on the former presidents recent criticisms of President Mills-led NDC administration, Alhaji Bature implied that Mr Rawlings had a lot of skeletons in his cupboard, which are more heinous than being corrupt. Rawlings may not be corrupt, but there are other sides of him that when made public, corrupt politicians will look like saints, Alhaji added. The former Radio Gold presenter further cautioned that if the former president do3s not cease his unwarranted denigration of the current administration, the scourge of Almighty God would definitely catch up with him. Describing the ex-president as a man filled with jealousy and resentment, the NDC activist said it was time Mr Rawlings realised that he was nobody in the party, and that the power and authority he once wielded as a dictator, was no more thee. I think that Rawlings is losing his grip; he is afraid that he is no more in control of affairs; he is no more regarded in the party, and the earlier he accepted that, the better it would be for him. He noted that instead of seeing his mistakes, and trying to reconcile with President Mills after he and his family subjected the President to a barrage of public ridicule, the former president was still going about denigrating him. Alhaji Bature asserted that because ex-President Rawlings and his wife humiliated Prof. Mills, and even wanted him to step down prior to the election, because they thought, he could not win, now feel ashamed and finding it difficult to reconcile with him. What has President Mills done to Mr Rawlings to deserve all these disparagements, has Rawlings not done his part, why doesnt he allow President Mills to have his peace of mind to rule this country. God will curse him, and if it happens, he will become very miserable. Alhaji Bature also described the former presidents attack on the National Youth Organiser of the ruling party, Mr Ludwig Hlodze, as unfortunate, saying it was borne out of hatred, rather than sincerity. He said the former president was fond of making wild allegations and directing his anger at personalities he hates, citing the current Communications Minister, Mr Haruna Iddrisu, as a recipient of Mr Rawlings cold attacks.
