President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has taken to Twitter to congratulate Asamoah Gyan and Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah for resolving their issues.

Some level of tension grew between the two after details of their meeting was leaked to the public by Asamoah Gyan

Gyan after the meeting announced his decision to resign from the Black stars team because he was not happy the captainship position was being taken from him.

However, Nana-Addo intervened and requested that the striker rescinds his decision; which he obliged.

On Tuesday, Asamoah Gyan and Kwesi Appiah met to settle their issues to enable them face the 2019 AFCON with a united front.

President Akufo-Addo retweeted a photo posted by Gyan after the meeting with the comment: ''Way to go.''
