�Black Out� At VIP Album Launch

The official launch of the Nima Based hiplife group VIP�s (Vision In Progress) new album titled: �Progress� at the Boomerang Night Club, at Caprice in Accra, on Saturday February 13, was graced with total black out. The power cut which affected several parts of the capital, started at about 1:15am Sunday morning when the Night Club was packed with hundreds of people still queued outside to enter. During the power cut and intense heat in the club, the only source of light was mobile phones. According to the C.E.O. of Boomerang Night Club and Paradise Entertainment, Mr. Duke Banson the lights were back on after 30 minutes, so VIP was able to perform for their fans and everybody had fan until about 4:00am when the program was over. When peacefmonline asked Mr. Banson why they did not put their generator on, he said, the power plant was faulty and was expected to be repaired the following morning. �I want to use this opportunity to apologize to people who were in and outside the club when the power cut occurred, for the inconvenience caused, but thank God everybody enjoyed themselves after the light was back on and there was no incident. Duke added that the problem with the generator will be rectified by Monday February 15, for Mzbel�s album launch at the same venue, on Saturday February 26. Other musicians who were there to support VIP included: Reggie Rockstone, 4x4, Richie, Mzbel, Mimi, Scientific and OJ Blaq among others. The evening began with VIP�s time with the press for photographs and interviews. The group then spent some time their fans and gave them photograph and autograph opportunity. The night was climaxed with energetic performances by supporting artistes and then, the men of the night finally took control of the stage.
