We Would Rather Concentrate On Pressing National Needs Than Ernesto Yeboah - Parliament

Parliament will not pursue the case involving the Convener of Economic Fighters League, Ernesto Yeboah and one other according to Madam Kate Addo.

The two who have been granted bail were protesting against the construction of a new chamber by Parliament.

Ernesto Yeboah and the others were put in handcuffs by the Police Protection Unit of Parliament in collaboration with the Marshals Department and dragged to parliament’s district police headquarters on Friday, 5 July, 2019.

According to law enforcement agents, they were disrupting the business of the house.

Speaking to this in an interview on Peace FM's morning show 'Kokrokoo', the Acting Director of Public Affairs of Parliament, said the Legislative body will not pursue the case.

"We are faced with other issues that need pressing attention and so we would rather concentrate and find solutions to the problems that are facing the country rather than other things . . . " she said.
