Cheryl Cole caused a media scrum as she touched down in LA yesterday. She's keeping up her dignified silence on husband Ashley Cole. But, she's still not wearing her diamond wedding ring.
Instead, Cheryl's sporting a sparkling yellow cocktail ring on her ring finger. The singer leapt on to a flight from Heathrow yesterday morning after her Brit awards performance and arrived in LA a few hours later. It took two burly bodyguards to guide Cheryl through the paparazzi scrum outside and into a waiting car.
She looked visibly distressed as she made her way through the crowd.
Cheryl's �160,000 diamond wedding ring was notably absent as she performed onstage at the Brits on Tuesday night.
It's been reported that Cheryl also banned footballer husband Ashley from attending the show. However, Ashley is said to be currently recuperating at home from surgery on a broken ankle. Her publicist told Sky Showbiz: "Cheryl Cole is in the States for writing and recording sessions. "This is a session that was scheduled last month. She is away for a week."
While Cheryl is keeping quiet about the future of her marriage, sources have suggested that she's very tired of constant speculation about her husband's fidelity. Perhaps the distance will give her time to do some serious thinking.
