Sellas Tetteh has agreed a two-year-deal to take-over the Rwanda national team after a closed door meeting with the country's football officials on Thursday. The 2009 Fifa Under-20 World Cup winning coach officially begins work in March after agreeing personal terms with Minister of Sports and Culture Joseph Habineza and Ferwafa head Brig. Gen. Jean Bosco Kazura. Tetteh's immediate task is qualify the Amavubi Stars to the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations finals to be co-hosted by Equatorial Guinea and Gabon. "He has signed a two-year deal and will start work in March,"Sports minister Habineza is quoted by the New Times newspaper. Tetteh replaces caretaker coach Eric Nshimiyimana, who guided the team to reach the final of last year's Cecafa Cup.The former Liberty Professionals coach is fairly popular in Rwanda where he led Ghana's Under-20 team to win the African Youth Championship. Rwanda sacked Branko Tucak in November last year after failing to qualify for the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations in Angola.
