Black Satellites Suffer Defeat To Senegal in 2019 African Games

The male national U20 side suffered a defeat in their second Group B match against Senegal in the 2019 African Games. Black Satellites of Ghana were pipped 1-0 by Senegal in their second Group B fixture at the Stade Municipal El Manssouria.
 
The Senegalese dominated the early minutes of the match as they managed to score before the quarters of the match. Youngster Ibrahima Drame gave the Senegal U20 team the lead with a cool finish on the 10th minute of the game.
 
Coach Yaw Preko's side gained possession to mount pressure on the young tarenga lions as Tahiru Awudu nearly found the back of the net on the stroke of halftime but his strike went wide.
 
After the recess, the Ghana U20 side launched several fearsome attacks but they were denied by the Senegalese goalkeeper. The two teams failed to score in the second department of the match as it ended in a 1-0 victory in favor of Senegal.
 
Earlier in Group B, Mali inflicted a 3-0 defeat on Burundi to sit on top of the group with Senegal pegging second position.
 
Ghana will battle out with the Mali U20 in their final Group B match on Saturday.
