NDC Primaries: Ras Mubarak Dropped, Zanetor, Ablakwa Retained

Some big names have started falling in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary primaries held today, Saturday across the country.

Some 524 aspirants are contesting for 157 constituency slots.

Sitting MP in the Kumbungu Constituency in the Upper East region, Ras Mubarak polled 273
as Dr. Hamza Adam overthrew him with 401 votes.

Meanwhile, Member of Parliament for Korle Klottey constituencyZanetor Agyeman-Rawlings has been retained.

She polled 671 to emerge winner while her closest contender Leeford Quarshie polled 336.

On the other hand, the Member of Parliament for North Tongu constituency Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has pulled a resounding victory of 1043 votes beating his only contender William Adagbo who managed a paltry 35 votes.
