NPP Will Lose Klottey Korley Parliamentary Seat If... - Aggrieved NPP Supporters Warn Party
Disgruntled supporters of Henry Hariod Kwartei Quartey, Parliamentary aspirant for the Klottey Korley constituency, have vowed to vote against the New Patriotic Party (NPP) if the disqualification of their candidate isn't quashed by the party.
It will be recalled that the New Patriotic Party released a list of Parliamentary Aspirants on Thursday, August 22, 2019 but Mr. Quartey's name was not found among the candidates.
The supporters want Mr Quartey included in the Parliamentary race on the ticket of the NPP.
They served a note of caution to the leadership of the party during a press conference stating emphatically that they believe there has been some foul play in the exclusion of their candidate from contesting the Primaries.
“We believe that the information circulating that Harry Harold Kwatekwei Quatey name s not part of the list of aspirants who have successfully been given clearance to contest the 28th September 2019 primaries is an oversight...We want to serve notice that Harry Harold Quatey be allowed to go through this election without any constituency, as well as manipulations. We have decided that if he is not given the necessary clearance then there shall be no support for us in Klottey Korley and will lose the Parliamentary elections and the seat again to our opponent,” they vehemently warned.
Meanwhile, the NPP leadership has directed all "unsuccessful aspirants whose names are not published" to "petition the National Parliamentary Appeals Committee (NPAC) for consideration".

Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of Heaven.
It is with great displeasure that we call on all gathered here today as members and sympathizers of this great party the New Patriotic party. For a long time we have been of the conviction that the New Patriotic party is a party that believes and practices the Rule of Law to the Highest in this country as such our love for it, but current happenings within the party in klottey Korle is gradually eroding the success chalked in this constituency. We are of the view that underhand machinating by forces within the party who do not want Klottey Korle to be the once successful constituency we witnessed between the year 2001 – 2008 when we had Members of Parliament.
History as always has been there as a means of looking back to correct the very mistakes that we have made in the past. In this vain we ask that the hierarchy of the party to see to it that another injustice is not served not eh constituents of Klottey Korle NPP. The grassroots have been highly shortchanged and have gradually found their voice in the candidacy of Harry Harold Kwatekwei Quartey, as such any moves to sacrifice his aspiration for another aspirant will not be tolerated.
Many are the injustices this young man has faced within his short political life. We the youth consulted and convinced him to stand on the ticket of the NPP to wrestle power for us in 2020. Many factions that arose as a result of the 2015 primaries in the Klottey Korle have not faced out but have been on the low because of his quest to unite the party for victory. These divisions will be awakened again if this continues.
We want to serve caution too all who have underhand dealings to as much as possible desist and allow Klottey Korle to function as every constituency does. We the youth, the grass root, delegates and sympathizers of this young man, the David of our time will resist any oppressor who will seek to bring injustice again to this constituency.

To show our love and support for this great party the NPP will support the winner of the primaries if Harry Harold Quartey is given clearance to contest otherwise we will greatly advice ourselves.
I ask all supporters of HHQ to be patient and resolute since we will petition the NEC on the next line of action.
