Rajevac Names 18 For Bosnia

Milovan Rajevac has named an 18-man squad for Ghana's first 2010 World Cup warm-up match against Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo on Wednesday evening. Few changes have been made to the African Nations Cup squad as Rajevac sticks mostly to the side that earned Ghana silver at the recent competition. Sulley Muntari, Derek Boateng and Prince Tagoe all return to the squad for the friendly for the first time after missing out of the Nations Cup earlier this year. FC Porto's full-back David Addy gets his first senior team call up. However, the unavailability of certain players has led Rajevac into making some late decisions. Isaac Vorsah, Opoku Agyemang, Quincy Owusu-Abeyie and Haminu Draman were all originally billed to have joined the team but injuries and poor health has forced them out of the friendly. Draman is down with malaria forcing Rajevac to call up Yaw Anwti, who makes the short trip from Serbia to Sarajevo without Ghana been denied his services though the invitation falls outside the stipulated 14-day notification. The friendly international, which will be the first Black Stars match after the African Nations Cup, will give Rajevac an opportunity to continue with his build up to the World Cup finals in South Africa later this June.
