GFA Elections: CAS Rejects Palmer's Injunction

The Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) has rejected an application filed by Mr Wilfred Kwaku Osei alias Palmer for provisional and conservatory measures to be taken against the Ghana FA Elections.
In a letter dated 25th October 2019, the president of the Appeals Division of CAS ruled that the suit filed by Mr Osei against the Ghana Football Association was rejected.

His substantive case against the GFA was over his disqualification from the GFA Presidential Elections. Palmer was seeking to prevent the FA from going ahead with poll today till the case was heard by CAS.

Palmer was disqualified from the elections by the Normalisation Committee of the GFA for breaching Article 33(5) (c) of the GFA General Regulations which relates to mandatory payments in relation to player transfers and a Decision of the Ethics Committee dated the 13th December 2017.

The GFA will elect a new President to steer the affairs of the Association today in Accra.
