Amid reports of a likely dissolution of the Interim Management Committee of Asante Kotoko, the Porcupine Warriors will try to stay focused when they take to the field on Wednesday in the Glo Premier League.
Kotoko host New Edubiase to the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi, three days after their shocking preliminary round exit from the CAF Champions League.
Their elimination from the continental competition has already increased the pressure on coach Paa Kwesi Fabin and the management team to deliver the league title, as the domestic season gradually heads into the closing stages.
Sitting eighth on the standings ahead of their outstanding match, Kotoko would strive to avoid another bad day against a side who came from behind to draw 3-3 against them in the first round. A win will soothe the pain of the red army though they still call for the axe to fall on some persons within the club hierarchy .
Edubiase have appointed former Ghana international Mohammed Gargo to stem their poor run in their debut premiership season. If Gargo manages to return from Kumasi with an acceptable result, he would be hailed while his opposite number, Fabin, could certainly be heading towards the exit.
