Sammi Awuku Honored At NPP’s National Youth Conference For Exemplary Leadership
The National Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Sammy Awuku, has been honored by the party's youth wing at just ended National Youth Conference held at Tamale for His Exemplary Leadership.
Mr. Sammi Awuku started his political activism on the University of Ghana campus as TESCON Member and subsequent availed himself to the service of the entire student population by contesting for the Presidency of the Students Representative Council (SRC).
Upon completion of school, Sammi entered main stream politics with a high sense of dedication, diligence and passion.
His communication prowess enabled him to be appointed as the Deputy National Communication Director of the New Patriotic Party, a position he served with utmost competence and tact from the year 2011-2014.
In April 2014, Mr. Awuku was elected in Tamale to lead the youth front of the NPP as the National Youth Organizer. From 2014 to 2018, Mr. Awuku led the youth front with distinction, raised the standards with his superb ability to mobilize the youth and canvas for votes.
Sammi Awuku became a household name, the embodiment of quality youth leadership and the benchmark for youth activism.
Mr. Awuku became the Youth Icon on the African Continent and beyond, and in 2015, he was elected as the Vice Chairman of the youth wing of the International Young Democrat Union (IYDU), a global alliance of centre-right political youth organisations united by a common desire for greater freedom.
Mr. Awuku holds a bachelor degree Political Science and Psychology from the University of Ghana: Diploma in Law from the University of London: Master's degree in International Relations from the Free University of Berlin in Germany.
Mr. Awuku has won dozens of noble and famous AWARDS including Continental Youth Icon Award from the All African Students Union (AASU) in 2017 and Leadership in Government Agencies Award at the second edition of the Forty under 40 awards 2018.
The Supremo of contemporary Politics, as he’s affectionate referred to, is currently the National Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (from 2018 to date) and doubles as the Board Chairman of Youth Employment Agency (YEA), from 2017 to date.
