The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party has thrown a challenge to former President Mahama to name his running mate before the year 2019 comes to end.

In a direct response to former President Mahama's request to know where the factories promised by President Akufo-Addo are situated, Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako stated that " the factory keys are with your running mate".

Until former President Mahama names his running mate and outdoors his manifesto, Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako says the current NPP government would not waste time responding to any empty game Mr. Mahama wants to engage them in.

The Ashanti Regional Chairman popularly known as Chairman Wontumi noted that "Next year is election year and it is a pity we have Mahama representing the NDC. He has been incompetent in opposition to an extent that he can't even name his running mate. Can someone like him be taken serious when all he does is to sit on Facebook and question a competent leader like President Akufo-Addo about operational factories?"

"We won't allow his incompetence to affect us. If he wants to know about the factories, he should name his running mate and pen down a manifesto and I will gladly show him where the factories are", Chairman Wontumi said.

In a Facebook live video which aired yesterday, the flagbearer of the NDC, Mr. Mahama said a potential NDC government would complete all the projects although they would revise them if necessary.

He touched on the current government’s flagship One District One Factory policy, noting that if voted into power, his government would complete the projects once there is evidence of the factories existing.

“We can’t even see the factories,” he slammed, adding despite the government’s claim of many of the factories being completed, there is little proof of such.
