NPP Klottey Korley Parliamentary Candidate Delivers New Year Message

NPP Parliamentary candidate for Klottey Korle constituency, Prince Appiah Debah says NPP is committed to policies which will guarantee good governance and prosperity for all Ghanaians.

In a New Year message, Lawyer Appiah Debrah thanked the constituents of Klottey Korle for their immense support to him and hope the goodwill between him and the people will be sustained in the subsequent years.

He also pleaded with the grass roots of the party to exercise restraint in their actions as the NPP works to better their lives.

“As we enter 2020, I will plead with the party faithful and the grassroots to exercise restraint. We know the party leadership is working hard to turn things around. It will be unthinkable for a political party that won power through the sweat and toil of its members to deny them the spoils of that power. We believe that the laborer deserves his wages. We also believe strongly that the pot is only half full, and we shall continue to make the most of it. *The alternative is SCARY....”

NEW YEAR MESSAGE FROM PRINCE APPIAH DEBRAH, Esq.

On behalf of myself as the NPP's 2020 parliamentary candidate for the Klottey Korle Constituency, and the constituency executive, I wish to extend my warmest greetings to all party faithfuls, especially the polling station executives, for your patience and love for this great party..

Ours is a party rich in tradition with abiding faith in God, dignity of man, sharing common brotherhood with all Ghanaians, and believing in the freedom of all people to express themselves according to their conscience. This party shall never falter or fail.

The principles which guided our founding fathers will continue to guide us today, and into the future. We are not unaware of the sacrifices of the grassroots in the party's return to power on January 7th, 2017. We shall not, and will not, take it for granted.

Your complaints have been duly noted, and this will guide everything we do from now on. You expect your leaders to be accountable and reasonably transparent with you. You have high hopes of your leaders, and your expectations are genuine and well founded.

The year 2019 was particularly challenging on many fronts: we had to fix the banking sector crisis, the school placement confusion, and confront the  rise of vigilantism and cheap propaganda. The government did its best to minimize the impact of these on the average Ghanaian. In spite of all these challenges the government has made significant progress: There is abundance of food on the local market, record number of our youth are enrolled in free SHS, many unemployed graduates have been registered unto the NABCO, our  industrial output has picked up, and national health insurance has begun to tick. Ghana has resumed export of tons of maize, cassava, plantains and cowpeas to neighboring countries for the first time since 2007!

Still, there is a lot of work to be done.

As we enter 2020, I will plead with the party faithful and the grassroots to exercise restraint. *The alternative is SCARY....*

2020 promises to be the dawn of a new era for Klottey Korle. We appreciate the enormity of the task ahead. We shall step forward in the strength of the Lord, whose battle it still is. We entreat all members not to sit on the fence but to put our shoulders once more to the wheel to capture the seat from the NDC impostor and work hard to retain our beloved president for 4 more years to do more......

Let us forge ahead in spite of our differences, and I invoke our better angels of love and gratitude to serve this cause.  *Klottey Korle shall stand in unity as we approach the campaign season.*

The work has already begun, and soon all shall see the benefits of design thinking. On this note I wish all party faithfuls, members, and sympathizers in this bellwether constituency a prosperous and Happy New Year.
