NPP Primaries: Exhaust All Avenues Before Proceeding To National For Forms - John Boadu To Aspirants

General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party, John Boadu, has asked all aspirants who are facing challenges in acquiring forms to exhaust all avenues in their constituency and regional levels before proceeding to the national headquarters.

According to him, they have empowered regional executives to resolve all challenges confronting the acquisition of forms, so there is no need to rush to the national executives to seek redress.

Speaking on Okay FM's 'Ade Akye Abia' programme, he explained that they have given some special dispensation to some constituencies in the Ahanti Regional capital, Kumasi.

He also charged aspirants who are finding it difficult to purchase forms from the constituencies to go to the regional offices to pick them.

"When it becomes difficult then you can come to national to purchase your forms," he advised.

He, however, cautioned constituency executives who are creating artificial shortages to desist from doing so as it undermines the democracy in the party.

The governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has settled on 25th April, 2020, as the date to hold parliamentary primaries in all the 169 constituencies where the party has sitting Members of Parliament to elect its parliamentary candidates for the 2020 general elections.

The party will equally hold its 2020 presidential primaries on the same date.

These decisions were taken by the party at a joint National Executive Committee (NEC) and National Council meeting held on Monday, 21st October, 2019 at the Alisa Hotel in Accra.
