Anyidoho Reports Fake Facebook Account To Cyber Crime Unit

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Atta-Mills Institute Koku Anyidoho has filed an official complaint about the existence of a ”Fake Facebook account” in his name.

This is the second complaint Mr. Anyidoho has made over the existence of this account, as the first complaint the filed was in 2016.

Mr. Anyidoho said he reported the issue at the Cyber Crime Unit of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) because the fake account is being used to tarnish his image and cause disaffection for him.

A viral post in the name of Mr. Anyidoho was published by some online portals claiming he made comments over the Airbus scandal.

The Facebook post which went viral after the Airbus scandal read: “No one should dare associate the late President Prof.John Evans Atta-Mills with this stinking airbus bribery scandal. We all know who President Mills had investigated for a similar aircraft deal. Again, leave President Mills out of this. His record in office was impeccable, he was never corrupt. Allow him to rest in peace. President Mills, be rest assured knowing that we will guard your unimpeachable legacy”.

However, Mr. Anyidoho says any post from that account is fake.

”I have reported the case at the Cyber Crime Unit. I took the action because the account is not mine. I don’t own this account, it is fake. This account was created some four years ago. I have no idea of that Facebook account, it does not belong to me and for that matter, any post on that account is not from me,” he added.

He said some ”evil and wicked individuals” have decided to tarnish his image. These persons decided to do this after the death of late Mills.

”People are insulting and denigrating me despite not knowing me. I have been insulted for long and so, I have decided to come to the police headquarters to make a formal complaint. I want the whole world to know that I do not own that fake Facebook account.”

”I want this matter to brought to an end once and for all. I am tired of the insults and attacks and the name-calling. I have reported to the police, but most importantly, I have summoned the person or persons before God. The bible says vengeance is the Lord. I have brought them before the court of my most high,” he added.
