Ghana's Most Beautiful 2011 winner, Sally Akua Amoakowaa Mensah, has for the first time opened up on her marriage to popular Ghanaian business mogul Dr. Kwaku Oteng.

During an interview on Restoration with Stacy, Akua who is the fourth wife of the Angel Group of Companies’ CEO, revealed she almost walked out of her marriage because of negative comments and trolls on social media. 

“The trolls bothered me at the beginning. At a point in time I wanted to get out of my marriage because of that....for some reason, they considered me as an evil person because of the person I am married to,” she narrated.

However, Akua interestingly disclosed she was not disturbed neither did it gnaw at her heart, the age disparity between them and the accusation that the husband was involved with other women, pointing out that “even taxi drivers and others who are not so well off, have as many as 3, 4 and sometimes 5 girlfriends, how much more him?" 

“I have dated a lot of young men but never benefitted in anyway...it didn't lead anywhere. And even in some of the relationships, the little you have (on you), they would want to take it away (from you),” she recounted.

Asked if she married her husband for money or for love, she replied; “My husband stole my heart with his humble nature,” adding that though Dr Oteng has his flaws like every other person, "my husband bubbles with a good, caring, humble and kind heart and is also God-fearing".   

The 2011 GMB winner also shared stories of the difficult times she and her family of 10 had to endure before the "breakthrough" came.
