Gospel Musician, Alex Acheampong who made waves with his timeless hit song ‘Emmanuel’ some 22 years back, has returned with three singles within three months.
First, he dropped ‘Nyame Aye bi’ (God has done so much) with a video, followed, by Hu Me Mmɔbɔ (Have mercy on me) also with a video all on YouTube.
The most recent single is dubbed, ‘Ebebamu’ which means it shall come to pass.
‘Ebebamu’ inspires us to believe that God is able to make a way where there seems to be no way.
The song was inspired by childbearing challenges he and his wife overcame.
After so many years of prayers, fasting and waiting patiently on the Lord, He blessed us with a baby girl. Following this experience, I learnt that indeed, nothing is too hard for the lord. If only we believe, it shall come to pass hence this song ‘Ebebamu’, Alex narrated.
The song is available on all the online music platforms including amazon, spotify, cdbaby, deezer, Tidal etc. The song was produced by an award-winning sound engineer, David Kojo Kyei, Kaywa of highly spiritual record label.
The song is accompanied by an awesome video; shot and directed by Skyweb. The video is on record as the first of its kind in the Ghanaian SDA gospel scene.
Apart from this video, no Ghanaian SDA gospel video has been reacted to by Magrehab, a popular Adventist blogger and comedian in Italy.
Recently, Alex Acheampong toured most parts of Ghana with his three singles. The tour began in Kumasi, through to Brong Ahafo Region, back to Kumasi, and ended successfully in Accra.
‘Through it all, ‘Nyame Aye bi’, Hu Me Mmɔbɔ and Ebebamu were well received. Fans confirmed that Ebebamu is not just inspirational, easy to sing alone, but an attention-grabbing and irresistible dance tune.
Asked what next, Alex said ‘another hit danceable tune ‘Gyɛ Gyɛ’ - a term coined to mean super, will be out soon.
