The Overlord of Osu Traditional Council has issued a stern warning to Ghana FA President Kurt Okraku over what he describes as his constant meddling in the political affairs of the traditional hierarchy.

In an address to the press, Abram Adjetey, who is the Secretary to the Overlord, reveals Kurt Okraku has been holding secret meetings with one of the factions in the rivalry and describes Okraku’s conduct as unwholesome.

“Mr Kurt Okraku is taking sides with matters of Osu chieftaincy. Very reliable information reaching the office of the overlord of Osu has been that Mr Kurt Okraku and his senior officials have been holding various secret meetings with Osu Chiefs.

While the overlord and his subjects are already worried about the turbulent chieftaincy rivalry facing Osu which is pregnant with a vulcanic eruption.

Kurt Okraku and his top officials found it very comfortable to extend their official relationship to one party in the rivalry.

We therefore find this very unwholesome on the part of Mr Kurt Okraku and his officials to sneak into an ex-palace to hold a secret meeting with opposing chiefs and others.

GFA PRESIDENT KURT E.S OKRAKU LEADS DELEGATION TO OSU MANTSE’S PALACE

The President of the Ghana football Association Mr Kurt E.S Okraku has visited the Paramount chief of Osu Nii Okwei Kinka Dowuona VI on Friday February 21 at his Palace.

The GFA president in the company of Mr. Executive Council member Samuel Anim Addo, Greater Accra RFA Chairman Samuel Aboabire, Deputy General Secretary Alex Asante and other football officials,  called on the Osu Mantse as part of the president's visitation to key personalities and institutions in the country to garner support for Ghana Football.

Friday’s visit was also to seek the blessings of the overlord of the Osu Traditional Area, where the GFA Secretariat is located.

Welcoming the GFA delegation to his Palace, the Osu Mantse stated that some organizations do not  achieve their desired targets because they fail to seek the support of the Chiefs and owners of the land where they are located.

He noted that the GFA president has taken the right step to visit the Osu Traditional Council to seek the Paramountcy’s blessings and support.
