Expect A Stage Performance From Me And Shatta Wale On 6th March- Chairman Wontumi

Ghana's 63rd Independence Day parade, is scheduled to be held in Kumasi, the Ashanti regional capital on 6 March.

And to light the occasion up, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party has said he is making preparations to perform with Africa's Dancehall Artiste, Shatta Wale.

According to Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, he is a die-hard fan of Shatta Wale but believes he is musically gifted than the 'I know my level' crooner.

"Shatta Wale is a top artist and I like his music alot but I want to battle at this year's Independence Day celebration. When it comes to lyrics, I will murder Shatta because I have all the punchlines".

In a related development, Shatta Wale has taken his music collaborations to the world of politics.

In a bid to promote peaceful coexistence between Ghanaians, the dancehall artiste revealed that he has co-written a song with the Ashanti Regional New Patriotic Party (NPP)’s Chairman Wontumi.

Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, Keith Rowley will be a special guest at Ghana's 63rd Independence Day parade, which is scheduled to be held in Kumasi.

Chairman for the anniversary's Planning Committee, Laud Commey, who disclosed this said the Independence Day celebration will be on the theme: "Consolidating Our Gains".

Speaking at the media launch of the anniversary in Kumasi, Mr Commey said the Baba Yara sports stadium where the parade will be held has been awarded for rehabilitation ahead of the programme.
