Parliament has unanimously approved the nomination of Dr. Mustapha Ahmed for the position of Deputy Minister designate of Water Resources, Works and Housing and Mr San Nasamu Asabigi for the position of Deputy Minister designate for the Northern region. Commenting on some of the issues raised during the vetting of Dr Ahmed, some of the MPs stressed the need for the Ministry of Water Resources, Works and Housing to take steps to address the problem of water shortage which some communities sometimes experience. On the issue of security which was raised during the vetting of Mr. San Nasamu Asabigi, some MPs noted that adequate security in the Northern Region is so important to the development of the area that everything possible should be done to ensure peace in the Northern region at all time.
