Heal COVID-19 Patients And Let's See How Powerful You Are - Great Ampong Challenges Pastors

Gospel musician, Isaiah Kwadwo Ampong known in showbiz as Great Ampong has hit hard at Christian religious leaders in the country following the outbreak of COVID-19.

Great Ampong, who has over the years released hit songs in the gospel music genre, has recently come out with a single popularly dubbed “COVID-19’’ which reflects the current happenings during the Coronavirus pandemic in Ghana and the world at large.

The song talks about scientists struggling to find vaccines to remedy the situation and Pastors not able to do anything about the virus.

Speaking on Peace FM’s Entertainment Review, Great Ampong lambasted Pastors in Ghana for equally fearing the disease and challenged them to congregate if they so claim they have “power’’.

According to him, a lot of Pastors have been abusing their congregation, selling apples and anointing water to them for healing purposes.

He noted that the COVID-19 epidemic is an opportunity for those religious leaders to show Ghanaians their ability to heal by providing a solution for the Coronavirus.

“If you are so powerful, just go out since you have congregation and congregate for us to see if you will have peace should a Coronavirus patient step into the church’’, he told host Akwasi Aboagye.

He bemoaned Christians, who have put their faith in Pastors and idolizing them like they are miracle workers to the extent that they even lose their conscience, to stop hero-worshiping Pastors.

“We have let our faith in Pastors become stronger than our fear for God who wields all power…Since the outbreak of this disease, are we not locked down in our rooms together with these so-called powerful Pastors? They should give us a solution…The way they parade themselves on television that without them, you’ll not be healed from your sickness but die. If he doesn’t sell water to you, you will die. If he doesn’t give you an apple, you will die; God has proven to them that He is the greatest of all. Now, every person’s mouth has been shut up. Whether you are hot or powerful, we are all in our rooms’’, he stressed.

Great Ampong further advised Ghanaians to serve God and not men who call themselves the anointed ones.

“It is time for us to fear God and obey His commandments’’.
