Rawlings Son Kimathi Kicks Against Mums Bid

The Ghanaian Lens newspaper can today reveal that young Kimathi Rawlings is totally opposed to Mrs. Rawlings decision to contest President Mills for the flagbearership slot of the NDC ahead of the 2012 elections. So strong is Kimathis position against Mrs. Rawlings bid that he flatly refused to join his siblings to accompany Mrs. Rawlings when she was going to pick her nomination papers last week. Kimathi, a youngman pushing past his mid-twenties, also refused to put in an appearance at Mrs. Rawlings campaign launch the day after she picked her papers. Close associates of young Kimathi have told the Ghanaian Lens that while he certainly has no doubt about the leadership qualities of Mrs. Rawlings, he nonetheless believes that this is not the right time for his mum to aspire to the Presidency, because the incumbent President Mills is doing a marvelous job of expanding the countrys infrastructure while rebuilding the national economy. An unimpeachable source close to Kimathi told The Ghanaian Lens that, he is really troubled about all what is going on in relation to the flagbearership contest, but being a fiercely loyal person, he is unable to publicly speak out. Instead of speaking out publicly, he has chosen to stay away from Mrs. Rawlings campaign, and he has sworn that not even wild horses would be able to drag him to any event related to his mothers presidential bid, the source revealed. Clearly, President Mills is enjoying some level of support even within the Rawlings household.
