Though the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic is not yet over, President of the Ghana Football Association, Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku is optimistic Ghanaian soccer fans will soon get back to their screens and stadiums to enjoy their favourite teams thrill them in the world of soccer. 

The sting of Coronavirus (COVID-19) has brought soccer all over the world to a halt.

The UEFA Champions League, English Premier League, Ghana's Premier League and other local football activities have all been suspended until further notice due to the threat of this pandemic. 

The Ghana Football Association has had to pause all football-related activities in the country to aid the fight against the pandemic that has affected every continent on earth except Antartica. 

This obviously has had an effect on the Association and hopefully the prayer of every Ghanaian is to see the end of the pandemic and for things to soon return to normal.

Ghana has since Wednesday, April, 15, 2020 recorded 641 cases of the COVID-19 with 83 people fully recovered and 17 more to be discharged from various holding centers after their second test proves negative.

Speaking at a media briefing in Accra organized by the Ministry of Information to update Ghanaians on the COVID-19, Mr. Simeon-Okraku was hopeful there will be light at the end of the tunnel.

Disclosing that the Association has delivered a special facility at Prampram as isolation center to treat infected persons, the GFA President assured soccer fanatics that "together we will win this battle and together we will bring our football back".
