Over 1,200 People From Lockdown Areas To Asene Akroso-Manso Constituency Get Relief Items From MP

It is no doubt that many people living in lockdown areas like Greater Accra, Greater Kumasi and Kasoa before the President announced the lockdown some weeks ago moved into the rural areas and other communities with Asene Akroso-Manso constituency not an exception.

Life in the communities they ran into has become difficult for them since they are not having any work which would fetch them income to feed themselves and their families.

The Member of Parliament for Asene Akroso-Manso constituency in the Eastern region, Hon. George Kwame Aboagye popularly called 'Oluwa' as part of his humanitarian work has given food items and monies to people who moved from Kumasi, Accra and Kasoa into Asene Akroso-Manso constituency before President Akufo-Addo called for the partial lockdown.

Hon. George Kwame Aboagye (Oluwa) during the presentation of the items to the people said he doesn't want people from the lockdown areas in his constituency to be stranded and frustrated since they have no work to do in the constituency for now, hence, he has budgeted for 2,000 people but over 1,200 people have so far been identified and received their relief items.

Each person was given 25kg of rice, 1litre cooking oil and additional GH¢20.

Some beneficiaries among the over 1,200 people expressed their sincere gratitude to their MP for his humanitarian work and pledged to support his vision to continue his work as a Member of Parliament for the Asene Akroso-Manso constituency.
