Besiktas forward Kevin-Prince Boateng believes the value of footballers around the world will drop significantly due to the impact of the coronavirus outbreak. The novel virus has wrecked havoc on the football economy with several federations seeking a bailout to survive the pandemic. 

With the exception of Belarus, all football-related activities have grind to a halt with several players being made to take pay cut due to the impact of the virus outbreak.

The coronavirus crisis has caused financial bottlenecks in many football clubs and former Ghana international Kevin-Prince Boateng is anticipating an economic consequences on transfer and payment in future.
 
"I think the coronavirus will result in a reduction in the salaries and market prices of football players as a result," he told Gazzetta dello Sport

"We won't see one sold for €200 million for a very long time."

"The economic crisis would make it impossible for clubs to continue to charge such high prices."
