Adenta MP: I Feel Embarrassed

The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Adenta Constituency, Kojo Adu-Asare has launch a scathing attack on his colleague MP for Lower Manya Krobo, Michael Teye Nyaunu for suggesting that the Mills campaign team are intimidating party delegates not to endorse Mrs. Rawlings candidature. As a young politician brimming with hope and confidence for the future for this country, sometimes I get very disappointed when I hear (senior colleagues in politics talk like this). With their experience in politics they [have to] educate those of us following after them. According to him, he feels embarrassed at the comments of Mr. Nyaunu who, as a senior colleague and an experienced MP must know better. Michael Teye Nyaunu on Asempa FM Thursday, alleged that the members of the Get Atta Mills Endorsed (GAME) campaign team are inducing party delegates with an amount of GH 4,000 and a motorbike each to declare their support for President Mills. The Lower Manya Krobo MP who is campaigning for Mrs. Rawlings also accused GAME of intimidating the delegates not to endorse the nomination forms of Nana Konadu in her bid to challenge President Mills for the NDCs flagbearership slot. Speaking on Asempa FM on Thursday, Kojo Adu Asare said for Teye Nyaunu to suggest that delegates are being bribed to endorsed President Mills is a big insult to the sensibility of the delegates. He observed that, Hon. Teye Nyaunu has embarrassed himself because as a three-time Member of Parliament, he should know that the NDC delegate congress is not won by the number of allegations you can peddle against your opponent. The Adenta MP said that those working for Mrs. Rawlings assuring her of victory are just misleading her and the results will show after the July 8 presidential primaries of the party in Sunyani. He stressed that the Friends of Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings (FONKAR), by their actions messed up the grounds for Nana Konadus ambition to lead the party in the 2012 election. Kojo Adu-Asare however said he remains unperturbed by attacks he will receive from people who may misconstrue his utterances.
