Obour Promises To Establish University At Asante Akyem South When Elected As MP

Former MUSIGA President, Bice Osei Kuffour, now turned politician has pledged to construct a University for the residents of Asante Akyem South.

Bice Osei Kuffour, popularly called Obour, is contesting the Parliamentary seat at the Asante Akyem South constituency and will be in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) primaries on Saturday, June 20, 2020.

The musician is on a mission to develop Asante Akyem South and therefore asking the delegates to vote massively for him to be NPP Parliamentary candidate and eventually a Member of Parliament for the constituency.

Obour has outlined some developmental projects he would like to undertake in the community when elected as Parliamentarian.

According to him, he will improve the agribusiness which happens to be the primary work of the residents in Asante Akyem South, ensure a proper road infrastructure and vamp up entertainment in the community among other manifesto promises.

But one principal project on the heart of Obour is to establish an Asante Akyem South University (AKSU) within the four-year second term of the Akufo-Addo administration.

"We don't have a tertiary institution at Asante Akyem South. We don't have nurses training nor teacher training. We don't have University. When elected as MP for the constituency, I pledge to ensure the construction of Asante Akyem South University (AKSU) before the end of our four years, which will offer teacher and nurses training courses for the contituents to further their education," he promised on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo'.
