Church, Leaders Must Lessen Merchandising Divine Gifts

Reverend Dr Mrs Vivian Balasu-Addo, Ho East Presbytery Moderator of the E. P. Church of Ghana on Sunday called on the Church and its leaders to lessen the merchandising of divine gifts of God.

She said God gave the gifts freely, received freely, and must be given freely without monetising them.
Rev. Balasu-Addo was preaching online under the theme, "Reward for being Hospitable."

She quoted from Matthew 10:8 that "Heal the sick, bring the dead back to life, heal those with dreaded skin diseases, and drive out demons. You have received without paying, so give without being paid."

The Reverend Minister said, "be selfless and abide by God's principles on divine gifts and its applications to bring comfort to the poor and the afflicted.

"What did we do to benefit from this divine calling and gifts that we cannot give freely," she asked.

Rev. Balasu-Addo urged God's chosen and anointed to lead the crusade to win many souls to the Lord's vineyard saying "multitudes are yearning to do the work of God but lack direction."

She said God had chosen from fishermen, political activists, tax collectors, the affluent, the common and uncommon people without discrimination and significance.

Rev. Balasu-Addo called on Christians to make their possessions available, be prepared for God to use them as vanguards to serve the flock, saying there's lots of work in the house of God.
