Godwin Bentil Promoted To Le Havre Senior Team

Ghana youth international Godwin Kobby Arthur has been promoted to the Le Havre senior team by manager Paul Le Guen following his fantastic performance with the junior team.

Bentil, 19, netted four goals in seven games for the youth team of Le Havre before the season was ended due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Graphic Sports understands that Bentil has been handed a chance in the main team as a replacement for fellow Ghanaian Ebenezer Assifuah who has left for FC Pau on a free transfer.

Bentil joined Le Havre in 2018 on a four-year deal from Ghanaian side Attram D'Visser Academy and has so far greatly impressed the technical staff by banging in six goals and assisting four in just 11 games.

On the international scene, he was the key man upfront in the Ghana Black Starlets squad which qualified for the Under 17 championship in Niger in 2018 but could not pass the external MRI Scan.

He is well regarded in French youth football and has already been watched by Paris Saint Germain, Olympique Lyons and Marseille.
