Your 'Alarmist Character' Won't Help; Stop The Needless Pessimism! - Nana B Warns Pratt

National Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Henry Nana Boakye has made a passionate appeal to the Editor-in-Chief of the Insight newspaper, Kwesi Pratt, to stop being an alarmist whenever issues regarding Ghana are broached.

According to Nana Boakye, popularly known as Nana B, Kwesi Pratt is always pessimistic in his criticisms and thoughts about Ghana.

Nana B made this comment while discussing issues regarding the COVID-19 disease and the final year students' WASSCE on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo'.

He questioned Mr. Pratt's spirit of patriotism because he appears not to be impressed by any effort made by the State authorities to resolve the COVID-19 pandemic and other inteventions by the government.

He further commended the government and health Professionals saying they have effectively managed the novel disease.

"We've managed ourselves well. I plead for us not to disvalue our health system and leaders...We need to appreciate the efforts. Some people are learning from us . . . we have done so well."

But Kwesi Pratt expressed disagreements with Nana B's assertions.

Speaking on the same programme, Mr. Pratt stated that Ghana is ranked 4th in Africa when it comes to countries which have poorly dealt with the COVID-19.

"The facts must speak for themselves...Amongst the more than 50 countries in Africa, Ghana is fourth in terms of worse cases. In fact, when you mention five worse cases, Ghana is among; we're listed number 4. So, if in spite of this statistics, somebody wants to learn from Ghana; then I really wish them well."

Nana B who had had enough of Mr. Pratt's seeming negative comments, went balistic on him cautioning his ''alarmist attitude will not help because this is a pandemic hanging around our neck. Let's all try to do something to help but it appears, in the country you reside, you don't appreciate anything the authorities are doing. But you're rather particular criticizing and causing fear and panic".
