Remove Hawa Koomson If You Don't Support Her Action - Akufo-Addo Told

Deputy National Communication Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kweku Boahen says all indications by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo regarding the Minister for Special Development Initiative, Mavis Hawa Koomson shows he perfectly supports her unwarranted actions.

Kweku Boahen said he is surprised the Minister is still walking free and at post when some members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) alleged to have been involved in the mayhem were prosecuted and sent to court few hours after the incident.

"President Akufo-Addo supports the action of his Special Development Initiative Minister . . . a simple press release from the President is enough to remove Hawa Koomson from office if he is not in bed with her actions . . . " he said.

Speaking on UTV's 'Adekye Nsroma' newspaper discussion show, Kweku Boahen indicated that he is glad members of the Peace Council have now woken up from their sleep to put the Akufo-Addo's government on its toes after years of being silence.

" . . We have been calling on the National Peace Council long ago about the negative occurances exhibited by the current government, but they never adhered to our call so it is good they have now realized the reasons for our agitations," he added.
