Nana Ends All Hands On Deck Tour

NANA ADDO Dankwa Akufo-Addo has ended his All Hands on Deck Tour of the ten regions of the country at the Tema Rotary Center. The tour was aimed at uniting both winners and losers in the just-ended parliamentary primaries nationwide. The New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate, in his address, implored defeated aspirants, parliamentary candidates-elect and party chairmen in the Greater Accra region, to come under one umbrella to ensure the partys victory in the 2012 polls, advising that they should put all their differences behind them and work hard towards the next elections. He advised participants and party faithful to campaign seriously in order to win more votes for the NPP to enable it wrestle power from the NDC, adding that those who lost the primaries should put the disappointment behind them and work for the party. NPP National Chairman Jake Obetsebi Lamptey, speaking with a section of the media, noted that the party was united and ready to rescue Ghanaians from hardship under the NDC, assuring that the NPP was not going to let Ghanaians down. He was grateful to God for a successful tour, noting further that the NPP had started its campaign and would soon start training polling station and constituency executives across country. According to Mr. Obetsebi Lamptey, there is no party member going independent, and any member who intends going independent, should count himself no longer a member. Though the national chairman would not comment on President Mills alleged GH90m re-election campaign funds, he wondered how he could afford such lavish fan fair just to pick up his nomination forms asking if the President said he paid for the GBC live coverage, then who paid for the 60 buses that transported the people? Where did he get the money from? Ghanaians have the right to know? Some of the parliamentary candidates and defeated aspirants who spoke with DAILY GUIDE expressed joy after the meeting with the partys flagbearer. They thanked Nana Addo for his innovative ideas which would go a long way to help the party wrest power from the NDC. The flag bearer was also accompanied by NPP General Secretary, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie aka Sir John, Dr. Nyaho Tamaklo, Hackman Owusu Agyeman and other top party functionaries.
