Former Atebubu-Amantin DCE Commends EC For Peaceful Registration Exercise

The former District Chief Executive (DCE) for Atebubu-Amantin in the Bono East region, Cassius Osei Poku has commended the Electoral Commission for enforcing the COVID-19 safety protocols at all registration centres and also organizing a peaceful voters registration exercise.

Hon. Cassius Osei Poku toured some Registration centres in the Atebubu-Amantin Constituency to acquaint himself on the ongoing voter registration exercise.

Cassius Osei Poku was accompanied on his tour by Hon William Boateng, former NPP Vice-chairman of Atebubu-Amantin Constituency, and a former Brong Ahafo Regional Research Officer of the NPP.

The two visited all the remaining 33 registration centres and interacted with both agents of the various political parties and Electoral Commission Officers.

They were satisfied with the various measures put in place by the Commission on the last phase of the registration exercise.

They commended the Atebubu Amantin Municipal Electoral Commissioner, for strictly enforcing the COVID 19 protocols, especially, amongst his officers and the registrants.

Veronica buckets, liquid soaps, sanitizers, temperature guns were strictly enforced at the voter registration centres, Hon. Cassius Osei Poku, commended the security officers who were detailed to keep peace at the various registration centres.

He commended the military command and the police for exhibiting good professional conduct.

Hon. Cassius Osei Poku also Commended the MP of the area, and Bono East Regional Minister, Honourable Kofi Amoakohene, for making the Registration exercise very peaceful.

Hon. Cassius Osei Poku appealed to some of the electorates who have not registered to do so before the exercise ends.

Hon. Williams Boateng and Honourable Cassius Osei Poku, made some donations to the agents of the various political parties and provide some packets of some mineral water to the Registration Officers.
