I Am Proud Of My Son Shatta Wale - Veteran Actress Grace Omaboe

Award-winning veteran actress and broadcaster Grace Omaboe famed as Maame Dokono has heaped matchless praise on Dancehall star Shatta Wale following his international link up with Beyonce.

The popular 1990's host of storytelling series By The Fire Side, indicated that she was super proud of one of the products of her TV show.

While speaking in an interview on Peace FM's Entertainment Review show, the living legend stated that she was elated to see Shatta Wale raising Ghana's flag high by working with award-winning singer, Beyonce on the Already project culled from the Black Is King Film.

Asked how she felt about the news, Maame Dokono noted: "I'm very proud of him. Look at how he started and how far he's gone. The whole Ghana is proud of you".

According to her, Shatta Wale was more like her son since she was part of his childhood and gave him advice while he was growing up.

"Shatta go on, don't stop there oh, go on until we can't have you again," Madam Grace Omaboe was heard saying in the video while beaming with pride.

Maame Dokono in one of her interviews indicated that Shatta Wale, known in real life as Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr., was part of the studio audience in the then-popular TV show, By The Fireside.

Shatta Wale has gained massive plaudits from government officials, politicians, industry colleagues, and the general public following the release of Beyonce's Already Music video which he stars in.

The video was released on July 31, 2020. Following the release, Shatta Wale posted a photo of himself and Beyonce doing the SM4Lyf sign.
